We care deeply about what we do. We care about our clientele, the quality of our product and the world in which we create it. We understand the interconnected nature of our daily actions, personally and as a business. Quality means more to us than just an unblemished, smoked fish sold in a pretty package. Quality means integrity; quality means guaranteed excellence; quality means striving to produce the best artisan product on the market, and doing so in a way that supports the local economy, ecological health, and our client’s wellbeing.
That is why we unconditionally guarantee and commit the following:
-We guarantee our product. If you are not satisfied, we will refund your money.
-We guarantee our fish – we only source sustainably harvested, wild, #1 quality salmon.
This is the best salmon in the world for your health – abundant in Omega- 3 fatty acids, vitamin D and devoid of mercury.
Our salmon is caught and harvested with the greatest care. These high-graded #1 salmon are the highest quality available on the market.
-We commit to sourcing wild, sustainable, local and organic ingredients as much as possible.
Our product is over 90% Wild or organic by weight.
We use organic herbs and spice.
Our salt is the finest quality Celtic Sea Salt – part of what gives our fish its amazing, complex and subtle flavor.
-We commit to never using any preservatives, nitrates, or artificial anything.
Our process is the preservative – salt, smoke, and quality vacuum bags.
100% of our product is natural and minimally processed. It is the same stuff your grandmother could make.
-We commit to supporting local business and industry.
Though we distributed our product nationally, we strive to source much of our materials local to our home – Anchorage, Alaska. When we cannot buy locally or regionally, we strive to go through local vendors.
-We commit to curtail and reduce our waste as much as possible.
Our fish is currently a part of a local venture to compost fish carcasses, rather than throwing them away. This reduces pollution in Bristol Bay, and instead goes to growing food. Read more about it on our site, here, or at the company, Alaska Bounty’s website, here (www.alaskabounty.com).
Our vacuum bags are non-toxic and recyclable (#7).
We seek to minimize our waste during production as much as possible.
